Year 4

Mr D Jones

Teacher (Japan)

 Wednesday - Friday

My interests: I enjoy spending my free time with family and friends, preferably on a beach surrounded by mountains of food and drink. When I’m not watching ‘Paw Patrol’ or ‘Peppa Pig’ with my young son and daughter, I love watching sport #YNWA. Despite living in Liverpool since I was 18 years of age, I have been part of the Meadow family for over 12 years. The brilliant staff, supportive parents and wonderful children make it a difficult place to leave.

A fun fact about me:   I was born and raised in Porthmadog, North Wales. I only really spoke welsh in my teenage years but now having married a Liverpudlian, I’m quickly developing a scouse twang.

Mrs S Walker

Teacher (Japan)

Monday - Wednesday

My interests:  I love spending time with my family and watching my two sons playing football and taking part in athletics. My family love to go in the hot tub together in the evenings and especially at weekends to talk about our day. My hobbies include swimming and travelling around the world. When I was younger, I became a certified diver. Although I trained to dive in the sea and quarries around North Wales, I have also dived in the Great Barrier Reef, Belize and the Bahamas.

A fun fact about me: I started teaching at Meadow in 2000 but left for three years to travel around South America, Central America and the USA. I then spent a year teaching in Shanghai in China and six months in Istanbul in Turkey before returning to Meadow.

Mr J Anson

Teacher (Ghana)

My interests: My friends and family are very important to me and I like to spend my time with them. I enjoy playing football and I am also an avid Derby County supporter. I also like to keep fit and healthy by going to the gym and riding my bike. This is my second year at Meadow and I particularly enjoy teaching Maths.

A fun fact about me: Before becoming a teacher, I used to teach archery to children and adults.

My interests: I’m a bit of a theme park enthusiast and can be found at many theme parks within the UK with my partner and my family, and hoping to continue the theme park travels around many different countries!

I love spending time with my family, my partner and my friends. I also enjoy going swimming and going on walks especially to National Trust’s. When I’m not out and out, I enjoy baking at home making cakes and different flavours of fudge.

A fun fact about me: I used to go to a horse riding school when I was younger every weekend until I fell off one week and didn’t return again!

Teaching Assistant

(Maternity Leave)

Interests: I thoroughly enjoy an adventure, especially if it involves travelling to different destinations around the world to experience new cultures and meet new people! My favourite place so far has to be Australia with its unforgettable beaches and unusual animals roaming around us! I also love to be outdoors every weekend hiking and walking as well as keeping fit in the gym or going for a long Sunday run.

Fun fact: My boyfriend surprised me the morning of my 25th birthday with a skydive over Cairns, I was super nervous right up until I dropped out of the side of the plane and then the endorphins kicked in and I would do it all over again!
